Step inside the writer's world with State Library Victoria's Beyond the Page series. Over four evenings, hear from incredible storytellers as they delve into their latest work and discuss their creative process. The final instalment of the series features Australian comedian, writer and actor Shaun Micallef as he discusses his new book, Matthew Flinders, a funny and meticulously researched reexamination of the famous explorer's story. Shaun will be joined in conversation by Australian art historian, ABC presenter and content creator, Mary McGillivray, whose work aims to make visual culture analysis accessible for the next generation. Following the conversation, ask Shaun directly about the meticulous research behind the book in an audience question and answer session. Auslan interpretation is available on request. Book your tickets now. Drinks will be available to purchase on the night. Copies of Shaun's books will be available for purchase from Readings at the event.
